August newsletter
This is the monthly one we agreed on in July. Read it, tell us what is wrong, and we will put the finished version into Phorest for you. One a month, in your voice, drafted here first.

Stock the shelf, and a badge for the teachers
Four short things from the room this month.
The good bottles, at a better price
Liters are 20% off through the end of September. It is the least exciting sentence in this letter and probably the most useful one.
A liter of the shampoo you already like lasts most people the better part of a year. If you have ever stood in front of the shelf wondering whether the big one is worth it, this is the stretch where it plainly is. Ask whoever is behind your chair which one you are actually using.
Extensions are a hair conversation, not a length one
We have been doing NBR and micro bonds in Madison for twelve years, which mostly means we have learned when to say no.
The first question is never how long. It is what your hair can carry, how you actually wear it on a Tuesday, and how much time you want to spend on it. Sometimes the honest answer is a cut and a plan instead. If you have been curious, come in and ask. There is no charge for finding out it is not for you.
Where the hair on the floor goes
We have been Green Circle certified since 2014. Most of our guests have no idea.
It means the foils, the color tubes, the leftover color and the hair swept off the floor do not go to a landfill. They get recycled or put to use somewhere else. We started doing it twelve years ago because it was the right way to run the place. There is no sticker in the window. It is just how the room works.
New this month
Teachers, bring your badge. From August 18, a school badge is 20% off a cut. The year is long and it starts now. Consider it a small welcome back.
A note on loyalty points. Points are earned and used on services. If you are not sure what you have, ask at the front desk when you check out. They keep the count, and it takes ten seconds.
See you in the chair,
